Who it's for

Who Masqot is for

  • People who run a community more than events. Your members talk in channels and share posts between events; you send your announcements by bulk email or push notification.
  • People who want attendees to find each other. Masqot suggests people based on interests and what they're looking for; an introduction only happens when both sides approve.
  • Organizers who want to know their members. On the insights screen you see your community's breakdown by profession, expertise, experience and city. In small groups, breakdowns that could identify someone are hidden.
  • Communities that care about keeping data in Europe and Arabic-speaking communities. Masqot's servers are in Germany; the interface is in 8 languages, including Arabic.

Let's be honest

When Luma might be a better fit

Some organizers use both: tickets on Luma, community and lasting network on Masqot.

  • If you sell tickets. Paid tickets aren't available on Masqot yet; on Luma you can sell tickets even on the free plan.
  • If you run lots of one-off events every month. Luma's free plan has no limit on the number of events; Masqot's free plan includes 2 events a month.
  • If you only want an event page, not a community. For a single conference or launch, Luma is faster.
